ya know...

If I don't watch out, I'll inadvertantly become a fan of heavy metal because of you!
But really, it was great because of the originality of it all. The stop/start thing was surprisingly effective.
Great, you should finish it!
Oh, and I just submitted a new song called "Somehow" and would appreciate a review.

Sonofkirk responds:

Thanks man : ). I'll definatly leave you some word !

Dude...

Wow, you really have a talent for this genre! Most of the beefs I have with heavy metal have been fixed in this one. Like I don't feel as if my head will explode if I keep listening, but it still conveys the more weighty sound of heavy metal guitar.
Probably the most relaxing heavy metal piece EVER.
Great job!

Sonofkirk responds:

LOL, yeah this song is pretty relaxing ! Thanks a lot dude !

well...

Reminds me a lot of Dracula, scheming in a dark castle.
Good use of piano along with supporting instruments, but the second part drags a bit, maybe some percussion of some sort needed. (triangle?)
Anyway, good song!

sarias responds:

Its accually a piano solo in a series of opera (opus plurel) im writing it could certainly be writtin for a small enseamble though im glad you enjoyed it

hmmmm...

Reminds me of mundane life in a medieval community, but more focused on the daily aspect of the lower classes than anything knightly or spectacular.
Kind of like "life is hard".
The guy below me was right in a way, different but interesting is one way of describing this song, but it's so much more.
I liked particularly the plucking of the strings along with the interesting tones used in conjunction.
Brings a lot of different pictures to mind.
P.S. I found you because you posted below me on the review request thread. I'd be honored if you were to review some of my stuff.

sarias responds:

he only put different but interesting because when i reviewed his i wrote different but interesting because it was different but interesting and i gave him a 6 so he gave me kind as payback in a sense thank you for reviewing and i review a couple of yours they were good :D

Hey...

Me again.
I like this one because of the piano mixed with the base, and the drums have a nice kick as well. Also is that a triangle in there?
Anyway, good song.
P.S. I just uploaded a couple new songs and would appreciate reviews.

-Pants

vai90 responds:

Yea I quite like the mix, too and yes, it's a triangle.^^
Just listened to one of your songs and voted 5. I write you some reviews as soon as possible. :)

nice...

I liked it, it had a lot of originality in it. You lost just one point for stretching it out too much, could have easily been 3 minutes or less.
Still a very good effort, maybe it could work in some sort of racing game.

-Pants

Nav responds:

Thanks! I too thought that it could work in 3 minutes, but then its not good for DJs to use, as there's not enough room to beatmatch! Also, people complained that the last few of my dnb tracks were too short, so I made this one longer!

Thanks for the review! :)

Awesome...

This would be PERFECT for a fast paced spy type game; kinda feels like a cross between metal gear solid, splinter cell, and the facility theme from goldeneye. Great job!

Also, it's the only one of your songs that doesn't seem to overstay its welcome by repeating over and over, well worth the four plus minutes.
If I ever made a sneaky action game, I'd use this.

-Pants

Miir responds:

Thanks for the review, very much appreciated. Oddly enough this is not the only song i have written that has had the word spy game attached to it.

good!

Nice basic beat and rythem, but the bongos and the good use of piano make it stand alone.
5.

Thanks pants for the review, I really appreciate your comments.

zombies...

Reminds me absurdly of a couple of tracks on timesplitters 2.
The vocals are a novel idea, but for a while the song seems to fade while the vocals take over; they are very repetitive so this can be annoying. If anything, the vocals should support.
I like how it builds, really one of the slower moving techno songs on the site, but this works due to good usage of tones.
Change a very few things and this could be very very good.
As it is, it's still probably better than what I could do!

-Pants

SinJim responds:

Thanks for the input Pants, everything's still a work in progress so I think I'll go back and adjust a few things. I'll look at varying the vocals a bit because they are indeed pretty repetitive. Really appreciate the comments, maybe I'll tweak and re-upload.

~SinJim

wah...

I like your style, never becoming stuck with one genre, or sound of music. Variation is key, and that's partly why I like piano pieces so much; there are so many different styles and melodies possible.
I give this a ten because it does exactly what it's supposed to do, it provides an interesting backround, (for credits, distance shots, whatever) without becoming a main point of attention.

Only one minor complaint, the synth comes in a little suddenly, and then just stops. Perhaps a little fine-tuning needed.
Good effort though!

-Pants

P.S. I'm off to review some of your other stuff, maybe you could check out mine also.

SinJim responds:

Thanks for the comments Pants, I'll head over to your profile and check your stuff out! I will also look into fading in/out the synth strings as well. Thanks again!
